The car should be happy for the owner, but over time or due to some negligence, the protective layer will weaken, the car will rust, stains, scratches, cracks will appear. The protective layer needs our constant support. And in this the best assistant is the liquid glass (ZhS) for cars.
In order to understand its importance, in order for a car to be in excellent condition for a long time, you must first learn the components, capabilities, and proper use of the ZhS that you choose from the market.
Advances in technology have made it possible to move from wax to silicon protective polishing. Of course, this is not pure silicon, but complex compositions based on it. During a lightning strike on the sand, glass is formed - silicates, silicon salts. The basis of the high-temperature natural phenomenon is the manufacturing technology of infinite variations of solid glass. But glass can also be liquid if you remove the calcium component during its manufacture. Liquid glass is used to manufacture and create many materials in many industries. Most often silicone-based ZhS - in sodium or potassium alkaline solutions.
Since 2008, SiO2has also been included in the automotive ZhS silicone base. To this is added a special technology:
Each additive imparts certain properties to ZhS. Titanium oxide (along with the polymer components) forms a heat shielding film. The film of nanoparticles gives light to the body and allows the qualification of ZhS nanoceramics.
Surfactants are responsible for cleanliness - they remove any remaining contaminants from the body's already cleaned surface.
The silicone component prevents oxidation of the body and ensures better adhesion of ZhS to the body surface as well as protection of the latter.
The use of silica significantly increases the durability of the paintwork.
ZhS Manufacturing Technologies:
The formed thermal protection film not only covers the factory paint layer, the film and the paint atoms diffuse. This allows you to:
The presence of SiO2in ZhS strengthens the body's factory lacquer coating and prevents minor surface damage. This is facilitated not only by the strength properties of the dioxide, but also by a certain plasticity of the liquid mixture.
After applying ZhS, the following is available:
Important:Existing minor superficial lesions are filled with JS and become invisible.
The properties of liquid glass are as follows:
The car has a hydrophobic effect (repels water and dirt) and can be washed much less often. And the residue can be removed with a damp cloth and the car will shine again. For cars, thanks to the ZhS, the stains are virtually invisible on the body.
The body surface is protected from aggressive substances, sun, high temperature, water and dirt. Everything increases the duration of the polishing and varnish-paint layer. In addition, surface micro-damage and factory paint aging remain hidden. That is, the car's original appearance is restored.
ZhS performs all of the protective and restorative functions described above much better than varnish. The latter has virtually no protection against aggressive substances.
Without the severity of the climate and the condition of the roads, liquid glass would retain its properties for 3 years. Under bad conditions, the average period is less than a year. According to the manufacturers, ZhS must withstand at least 80 washes, ie one and a half years.
If made on its own, it should be noted that neither foam rubber nor a rag is suitable - they hold small solid particles well, which are sure to cover the body with a mesh of the smallest scratches. Required - rubber hose and soft, long bristle brush.
Seal the entire machine and wait a few minutes for the dirt to soak. In a bucket, make a solution of a special car shampoo (just him! ) And dip a brush in it to clean all the dirt, constantly pouring from a hose.
Important:Be sure to wash with shampoo and not hot water. Otherwise, the slightest dirt remains in the pores and cracks, which absorb moisture and then penetrate under the paint. The result will be rust.
First, however, clean all outlets of doors, thresholds, front fenders to prevent water from entering the cavities and causing further corrosion.
And at the end of the wash - remove all drops of water from the squeezed clean suede so that tiny white spots do not appear in place due to the sun’s rays.
To complete the first stage - wipe the entire washed surface with a dry, soft cloth (napkin).
Anything not dissolved by water will disappear.
The entire surface of the dried body is degreased with a special pungent odor agent, so the room must have a good extractor or work in a respirator. Always wear rubber gloves. First, a solvent is used, and after a while, remove dirt with a soft, lint-free cloth.
Be careful - if the dirt is bituminous, you will need to use a special bitumen cleaner. Never use petrol, kerosene and the like - for varnishes and paints. Only possible on bare metal surfaces. Remove the old paint. In the end, the body is covered with a cleansing solution and everything is washed away.
The coating of the ZhS car consists of several stages, including primary and mirror grinding.
This section requires prepared rooms and certain skills. The room should have equipment and tools - as in the painting booths. And dust, moisture and sun-free, necessarily well lit.
Polishing is easy. In the absence of noticeable chips without cracks or scratches, simple polishing is carried out - with a microfiber cloth and polisher - by circular motions (10-20) rubbed into a limited part of the body. If you record a large area at once, the layer will have time to dry out a bit and there will be a problem with rubbing.
Deep polishing. Deep scratches and chips are first sanded with fine sandpaper, rubber bars and water. In this case, the sandpaper is softened in warm water.
Next - polishing with an automotive polishing machine using polishing paste. Of course, the professional model is preferred.
You can buy a cheap model or make it from an electric drill or grinder with special adapters for fixing polishing pads. However, without proper skills, it is easy to damage the paint layer.
With the right skills at this stage, the light damage of the surface is eliminated, homogeneity is restored, a protective layer is applied.
This is the main stage of the work. JS is given in circular motions, layer by layer. Optimal - 10-12 layers, minimum - 4. At the end, walk with a clean napkin on the treated surface, remove the whitish coating.
Further drying is a long process (6-12 hours). To achieve complete crystallization.
